The method of generating traffic to your website is just like the method of advertising in the newpaper, magazine or on television to get traffic to your shop or department store. The idea is the same.

There are multiple ways to generate traffic to your money making opportunity. Similar to offline advertising online advertising requires marketing through various media sources if you are serious about making cash.

There is no guarantee that you will get a lot of traffic and don't believe people or companies that promise you that you will generate from a few hundred to thousands of prospects per day that will buy your product; however, there are some programs that I have personally used that have brought me a great deal of money-making traffic.

You may just be getting a lot of cold not interested prospects whose names may have been sold many times over. I always say that whatever business you are proposing to start, be it online or offline, you need to have a strategic plan of attack.

Your business plan should be well thought out. And even when you think that you have figured it out you should go back to it after a day or two and review it again to refine it even more.

First you should get out a piece of paper or open a blank note pad file on your computer. Make an outline for your traffic generating campaign. Make a list of sources that generate traffic. I have a list of suggested traffic generating sources at the end of this article.

Some of these traffic generating sources are free and some you will have to pay a fee. If you are short on cash I suggest that you try the free traffic generating sources.

I have found that if you can manage to pay for your advertising and marketing campaigns you can get better results.

There are various kinds of marketing methods in which to generate traffic to your website. Here are some: email ads, banner ads, text ads, pay-per-click ads, free ads, to name a few.

You will read the advertising information from each of these sources that they have the best traffic generating product on the internet. There really isn't a way to know unless you purchase and use every program. Even then you may not learn the facts.

So I recommend that you test 2 or 3 sources and wait for some results. Testing ads for your campaign is probably the most important aspect of marketing and advertising. I guess there is no "best" or "perfect" ad.

Getting a better ad for your opportunity is always perpetual. It never ends. Just look at McDonalds, General Motors or Nissan Motor Corporation. They are constantly working on giving you new advertisements. One day you see an ad on television and the next day there is a new one.

So you see you have to test, test, and do some more testing. It's never ending which is a good thing because you never know, you might create an ad that will make you millions.

There are some excellent ads that have generated some online marketers millions. And I'm sure that they had tested their ad many times before they hit GOLD. This is what you will have to do too.

The bottom line - NO TRAFFIC...NO PROSPECTS....NO MONEY! You see, traffic is the life blood of any online business. Always remember this. If you generate lots of traffic you will make money.

For most people it probably doesn't take very much time to decide whether they should create their own website or use a website or program that is already created. In order to create your own money making website you should already have some website designing skills.

If you want to create a website from scratch you need to know a couple of things. To start off one of the important things to do is that the layout of your new website needs to be balanced. These companies have templates that you can choose with various color combinations and designs. You can find some website creation companies where you can build your make money online website from scratch. And actually it's pretty easy to do.

Once you have created your website you will need to have a product to sell. Again there are an unlimited number of products that you can sell on the internet. Some through an affiliate program or some where you can sell directly from your newly created website.

If you are selling a product directly from your website you will need to have a credit card processing program because 99% of customers on the internet will be paying by credit card or debit card. The other 1% will purchase by check through the mail. Either way you need to have the capability to use both options from your website.

Many affiliate programs already have a credit/debit card check processing system already built in their system. Without a system like this you will not be able to make any money online and it doesn't matter what kind of program that you have.

So what I am saying is this, I suggest that you start your new making money online business opportunity by using someone else's already created website.

Staying Focused With Your Online Money-Making Program

Well this is another big issue for many people on the internet who are trying to make money online.

They get impatient because the program that they are in is not producing as they thought and jumb ship and try another program hoping that this opportunity will be the one that they will make a million dollars with within a month instead of the opportunity before it.

I know because I have been one of those people too. I have tried tons of so-called money making programs online just praying that that program will be the one that will make me successful.
